Covert Acoustic Tube with Push-to-Talk Button and Compact Microphone
The Hytera EAN18 is a premium 3-wire surveillance kit featuring a discreet earpiece with a transparent acoustic tube, a compact microphone, and a handheld, torpedo-style push-to-talk (PTT) button.
The EAN18 attaches securely to the radio using a 6-Pin connector and thumb screw, preventing unintended detachment and minimizing connector wear. From this connection, a short cable runs to a junction, splitting into three distinct leads: a 42” wire extending to the PTT button, a 14” wire linking to the microphone, and an 18” wire connecting to the acoustic tube via the transducer.
The wiring tucks discreetly within clothing for seamless concealment, making it perfect for covert and surveillance applications. A soft silicone earbud provides extended comfort, while the transparent acoustic tube ensures clear audio transmission and can be replaced when necessary. The miniature microphone includes a brooch-style pin for secure placement under a collar or lapel.
The EAN18 meets IP54 compliance, providing protection against dust and water splashes. With an operating temperature range of -4ºF to 140ºF, it delivers reliable performance in diverse and rugged conditions.
