Panama Operator Launches DMR Trunking Network with Hytera

The new nationwide network provides advanced and reliable mission and business critical communications services.

(Panama City, May 16, 2019) - CeComunica, a Professional Mobile Radio (PMR) operator in Panama, today successfully held a ceremony in Panama City with the presence of local PMR users to commemorate the official launch of its Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) Tier III trunking communications system. The new nationwide network, supplied by Hytera, a leading global provider of innovative PMR solutions, provides advanced and reliable mission and business critical communications services to users from sectors such as ports, airports, public entities, ground transportation, hospitality, retailing and security companies in Panama.

At the launch ceremony, the Mr. Alberto Yohros, Manager of CeComunica introduced the versatile features of the new DMR system and how it will increase the productivity and safety of the system users. “CeComunica has always been bringing latest technologies to the market, including this advanced DMR system for professional users. The DMR Tier III trunking network so far includes 15 sites of Hytera DMR Trunking Pro DS-6210 base station and multiple models of industry-leading digital two-way radios from Hytera DMR portfolio, including PD6, PD7, PD9, X1, MD6, MD7 and its flagship Multi-mode Advanced Radio PDC760, which can provide high quality narrowband voice under DMR protocol and fast data transmission in LTE broadband. To realize the full capability and maximize the productivity, this network can interoperate with other communications systems of different technologies by adopting Hytera SmartOne solution.
